Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a career-focused education and comprehensive support to students from pre-K through 12th grade, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school is fully endowed to ensure the well-being and success of both students and staff. MHS is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, providing guidance and care for groups of students within on-campus homes.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage; both spouses should be age 27 or older; adherence to campus rules including smoke-free, weapon-free, and alcohol-free policies; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfort and willingness to lead students in daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstration of high integrity and good role modeling for students; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses.
