Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School is a renowned private institution offering pre-K through 12th-grade education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school provides a comprehensive career-focused education, including housing, meals, and more, all covered by the endowment established by Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909. Married couples are sought to serve as flex houseparents, creating a family-like environment for groups of 8-12 students on campus.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus rules including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol while on duty; limitations on approved pets; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; both spouses must submit individual employment applications
