Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private educational institution providing a career-focused education and full support to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school, founded by Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, offers comprehensive resources to ensure the success and well-being of both students and staff. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to provide guidance and care for groups of approximately 8-12 students, fostering a family-like environment.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses age 27 or older; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high degree of integrity and ability to serve as a role model for students; valid driver’s license; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; no more than three dependent children in the student home; adhere to campus policies including smoke-free and weapon-free environment, as well as limitations on pets
