Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. In this role, couples provide guidance and nurturing to a group of students in a family-like environment, ensuring their well-being and education. Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School play a vital role in maintaining a consistent and supportive structure for students, handling various responsibilities within the campus.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; both spouses must be age 27 or older; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; valid driver’s license; couples who have been legally married for at least two years; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus rules including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment, no alcohol on duty, limitations on pets; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
