Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique opportunity involves guiding and nurturing students from disadvantaged backgrounds in a family-like environment within on-campus student homes.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment, no alcohol while on duty, limitations on pets; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses.
