Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering career-focused education and support to students from pre-K through 12th grade from underprivileged backgrounds. The school, founded by Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, is fully endowed, ensuring a nurturing environment for students and staff to thrive. MHS is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, providing guidance and care to a small group of students while living on campus.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children allowed in the student home; must abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment; valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student vans; comfortable with leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; must demonstrate a high level of integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications
