Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private educational institution offering career-focused education to students in pre-K through 12th grade from underprivileged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS provides a comprehensive support system including housing, meals, and full coverage of all expenses to help students and staff thrive. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to provide guidance and support to a group of students, maintaining a family-like environment and handling various responsibilities.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses age 27 or older; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; integrity, leadership skills, and role-model qualities; valid driver’s license and certification to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; limit of three dependent children in the student home; adherence to campus rules including no smoking, weapons, alcohol on duty, and limitations on pets.
