Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) provides a career-focused education and support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds from pre-K through 12th grade. The school offers housing, meals, and covers all costs, thanks to the endowment from Milton and Catherine Hershey. MHS is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to provide guidance and support to a small group of students.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; must be a legally married couple for at least two years; both spouses age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus regulations including no smoking, alcohol, weapons, and limited pets; valid driver’s license with the ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable with leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate integrity and be a role model for students; both spouses must submit individual employment applications.
