Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique role involves nurturing and guiding 8-12 students in on-campus homes, providing a family-like environment and managing various responsibilities such as transportation and medication administration.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses age 27 or older; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity; valid driver’s license; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; abide by campus rules and restrictions on pets; no alcohol allowed on duty
Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person (total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple including housing and meals), comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision insurance, etc.), relocation assistance, paid training, nine days on, three days off schedule, three-week paid summer vacation
