Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private educational institution offering a comprehensive career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school provides housing, meals, and full coverage of all costs for students and staff to ensure a thriving environment. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing on-campus to guide and nurture groups of students, providing a family-like structure and essential support.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; married couples legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus regulations including smoke-free, weapon-free policy, and no alcohol on duty; limitations on pets with only fish and one approved dog breed allowed; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate high integrity as role models for students; both spouses to submit individual employment applications.
