Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, located in Hershey, PA, is a prestigious private institution offering a career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school provides housing, meals, and full coverage of all costs, thanks to the endowment of Milton and Catherine Hershey. They are currently seeking married couples to join as Flex Houseparents, residing on campus and nurturing a group of 8-12 students in a family-like environment.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be age 27 or older; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; both spouses must complete an individual employment application
