Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking dedicated married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique opportunity involves providing a family-like environment for a group of students while handling various responsibilities such as transportation and medication administration on campus.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, especially in under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus rules including smoke-free, weapon-free policy, and no alcohol on duty; limitations on pets with only approved breeds allowed; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate high integrity as role models for students; complete individual employment applications for both spouses
