Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required

About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to join as Flex Houseparents. As a Flex Houseparent, you will reside in on-campus student homes, providing guidance and support to a group of 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, creating a family-like environment. Responsibilities include medication administration, driving, budgeting, and more, with the aim of nurturing a structured and supportive setting for students.

Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; maximum of three dependent children allowed in the student home; abide by campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol while on duty; limitations on pets with only fish and one approved breed of dog allowed; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfort with leading students in daily devotions and taking them to chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstration of high integrity and serving as role models for students; each spouse to complete an individual employment application.

Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person (total package approx. $150,000 per couple including free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more); comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings; relocation assistance and paid training provided; schedule of nine days on followed by three days off with personal time during school hours; three-week paid summer vacation.
