Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering exceptional career-focused education and housing to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS is fully endowed to provide all necessary resources for students and staff to thrive. MHS is currently seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to guide and nurture approximately 8-12 students, establishing a family-like environment and managing various responsibilities.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; Couples must be legally married for at least two years; Both spouses should be age 27 or older; No more than three dependent children in the student home; Smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol permitted on duty; Limited pets allowed (fish and one approved breed dog); Valid driver’s license; High school diploma or GED required; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; High integrity and ability to be a role model for students; Both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
