Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, located in Hershey, PA, is seeking Youth Development Specialists to serve as flex houseparents for groups of 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This unique educational institution provides housing, meals, and a career-focused education at no cost to the students, thanks to the endowment left by its founders, Milton and Catherine Hershey.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus regulations including no alcohol while on duty, limitations on pets, and participation in campus activities; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses.
