Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required

About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. This unique role involves providing guidance and care for students from disadvantaged backgrounds while fostering a family-like environment in on-campus student homes. Flex Houseparents play a crucial role in creating a supportive and structured environment for students, handling various responsibilities such as driving, medication administration, and budgeting.

Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus regulations including a smoke-free and weapon-free environment, limitations on pets, and no alcohol while on duty; possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; able to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high degree of integrity and serve as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
