Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded by Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, provides a comprehensive career-focused education, including housing and meals, to students from pre-K to 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school is hiring married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to offer guidance and support to approximately 8-12 students, creating a family-like environment while managing daily responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, and budgeting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for legally married couples with at least two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus rules including a smoke-free, weapon-free environment, no alcohol on duty, and limitations on pets; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
