Position: Workday Financials Manager
About: Our client in the Food & Beverage industry is currently looking for a Workday Financials Manager to manage and maintain their existing ERP platform. This is a Hybrid position located in Kansas City, KS. The Senior Manager – Workday Financials plays a crucial role in the continued transformation of finance and accounting teams by advancing the use of accounting technology and financial reporting capabilities. This role requires experience with Workday report writing, maintenance of the Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM), expertise in system process improvement, knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Cross-functional collaboration between Accounting, FP&A, and IT teams is essential to drive business transformation through automation, implement best practices, and ensure operational efficiency. The individual must develop a deep understanding of Workday FDM as it relates to the company and its impact on financial reporting. Additionally, this person will serve as the subject matter expert for Workday report writing, responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of Workday reports and dashboards, while also providing cross-training to other finance team members.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, management, information systems, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience; a minimum of 2 years of experience with Workday Financials, either in an implementation, financial reporting, or administration role; high level of initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail; quick to learn new technologies through formal instruction and self-directed training; excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders; ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
