Position: WAITER
About: This position is assigned to the Falcon Club Dining Room at The Air Force Academy, Colorado. Applicants will be categorized based on preference(s) and/or priority consideration eligibilities such as Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience or training in proper food handling and serving techniques; knowledge of food menu items and wine selection for various foods; ability to follow cash handling procedures and make simple mathematical computations; physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and walk for long periods of time; capability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds; meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages; obtain a Food handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler’s training; communicate effectively with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public; satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation.
