Position: Volunteer and Events Coordinator
About: Active Transportation Alliance is a non-profit advocacy organization based in Chicago Loop, with a vision of creating healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities through walking, bicycling, and public transit options. The organization works with members, volunteers, and community partners to promote safe and active travel choices, fostering inclusivity and diversity in its team and practices.
Requirements: Minimum 1-2 years providing administrative support of a volunteer program; Minimum 1-year leading volunteer coordination; Strong computer skills in Adobe, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Ability to self-motivate, multi-task, and work well under pressure; Energy and enthusiasm for in-person events; Commitment to the organization’s mission and goals; Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving around Chicago; Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment; Preferred special events experience, especially with large outdoor events
