Position: Visitor Program Coordinator

About: The Huntsville Botanical Garden, located in Huntsville, is seeking a proactive and organized Visitor Program Coordinator to join their Guest Experience department. The role reports to the Director of Communication and Guest Experience and involves supervising volunteers for non-exempt, part-time positions. The Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing mission-unique events to engage key visitor groups and enhance the overall visitor experience at the garden.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality, education, communications, event management, or a related field; minimum of 2 years of demonstrated success in event planning and coordination experience or equivalent combination thereof. Must exemplify the Garden’s core values, collaborate effectively, possess strong communication skills, have a passion for creating engaging guest experiences, excel in organization and prioritization, maintain professionalism under pressure, and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Altru/POS system and prior experience with calendar management and event planning in an admission-driven organization.
