Position: Veterinary Receptionist
About: Strothertowne Vet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. Location: 651 SE Bailey Rd. Lee Summit, Missouri 64081. Compensation: $18 – $19/hr depending on experience. Job Summary: The Receptionist is key in creating first and lasting impressions, providing exceptional client service, handling payment and financial issues, supporting daily patient and client care, and collaborating with the veterinary team. Responsibilities include maintaining core values, greeting clients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling payments, and providing client education on veterinary procedures and products. Qualifications: Demonstrated commitment to core values, computer proficiency, knowledge of veterinary terminology, excellent communication skills, ability to handle emotional situations, and a genuine liking for animals and their owners. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience as a receptionist in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred; computer literacy and proficiency in communication tools; knowledge of veterinary terminology; excellent spelling and grammar skills; ability to handle emotional and stressful situations with tact and respect; genuine liking for animals and their owners
