Position: Vela – Line Cook
About: Vela, a restaurant located in an upscale setting, is seeking a skilled and organized Line Cook to join their team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and executing dishes to a high standard, maintaining cleanliness, and following directives from the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure exceptional food quality.
Requirements: High school diploma encouraged; Exemplary knife skills; Excellent knowledge of cooking terms, techniques, and recipes; Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; ServeSafe Food Handlers Certificate required; Ability to read, interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively; Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables; Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, talk, hear, and occasionally climb or balance.
