Position: UTILITY STEWARD (Culinary Arts)
About: osu institute of technology, located in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, is seeking a Utility Steward for the School of Arts Sciences and Health. The position involves providing assistance to chef instructors and staff, maintaining kitchen and instructional spaces, and ensuring effective kitchen operations.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred; evidence of ethical and professional behavior; previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment; ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide courteous service; follow oral and written instructions; customer-service oriented; maintain a neat appearance; work in a fast-paced environment; multitask and assist in various areas; knowledge of kitchen safety and health regulations; attention to detail and time management skills; problem-solving skills; effective communication with students and colleagues; positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills; valid Oklahoma driver’s license may be required; Food Handlers permit preferred; ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events; stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and meet physical demands of the position
