Position: Transit General Manager
About: MV Transportation is a company seeking a General Manager who will provide support, leadership, and direction to the assigned operating location to ensure the delivery of annual business plans. The General Manager will control the daily operation of the transportation contract in compliance with the policies of the contracting agency and company procedures.
Requirements: College degree or equivalent business management experience; management experience required; minimum of five years of comprehensive experience in operations management and seven years of management or supervisory experience in a transit environment with knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software; labor/union negotiations/expenses expertise; full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, safety DOT, and FTA compliance; MS Office proficiency, strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, and high degree of multi-tasking skills; additional duties/responsibilities based on individual contract requirements.
