About: Tortas Frontera at HMSHost in Chicago O’Hare International Airport Terminal 1, Concourse B, Gate B11, 10000 West O’Hare Avenue, Chicago, IL 60666, is looking for a dedicated Tournade Cook to join their culinary team. This high-profile position involves coordinating food production, preparation, and presentation to ensure top-quality service for customers in a high-volume casual dining restaurant environment.
Requirements: Minimum of 3-4 years of closely related cooking experience in a high-volume casual dining restaurant environment; advanced food knowledge in Soups, Sauces, and Pantry; excellent knife cutting skills; proficiency in dry and moist cooking principles; food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards; working knowledge of various kitchen equipment; exceptional handling of organic and specialty ingredients and quality control; ability to teach basic food and kitchen principles; good communication and customer service skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; capability to complete multiple tasks under time constraints; proficiency in weights, measures, and cooking techniques; ability to set and organize kitchen work areas; ability to lift and/or move 40 lbs; bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods; ability to work in a hot environment
