About: HMSHost at Chicago Airport is seeking a Tournade Cook to join their team. The Tournade Cook is responsible for coordinating food production, preparation, and presentation, ensuring a high-quality product is served to customers. This position involves communication with customers, maintaining quality control, and collaborating with other cooks to deliver exceptional service.
Requirements: Requires minimum of 3-4 years of closely related cooking experience; advanced food knowledge pertaining to Soups, Sauces, and Pantry; excellent knife cutting skills; ability to teach dry and moist cooking principles; knowledge of food preparation, HACCP standards, and kitchen equipment; exceptional skills in handling organic and specialty ingredients and quality control; adaptability to new menu items and cooking techniques; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong communication and customer service skills; ability to lift and move 40 lbs; willingness to stand for extended periods and work in a hot environment.
