Position: Tonga Room Bartender
About: Fairmont San Francisco, located atop Nob Hill at 950 Mason Street, is seeking a master mixologist to join its historical and acclaimed Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar. The bar has gained recognition from top magazines and TV channels for its tropical decor, decadent libations, and Asian cuisine since 1945. Following a recent restoration, Tonga Room aims to recapture the glory of one of the nation’s first tiki palaces.
Requirements: Proven master of mixology preferred; excellent knowledge of all beverage products; previous point of sale system experience an asset; excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities; highly responsible and reliable; ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment; ability to work cohesively with colleagues; ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
