As New York City’s only revolving restaurant, bar, and lounge, The View has been transformed by Rockwell Group to reflect the glamour and vibrancy of historic New York nightlife, inspired by the timeless appeal of classic American supper clubs.
Perched on the 47th and 48th floors, The View offers two distinct experiences: an upper-level bar and lounge with a raw bar, and a lower-level full-service restaurant featuring live music every night. The menu and cocktail program celebrate American classics with a theatrical flair, capturing the energy and character of Times Square. Designed as a dynamic retreat, The View is ready to welcome locals and visitors alike.
Who You Are:
As a Waiter/Waitress, you are at the heart of creating exceptional dining experiences. Combining warm hospitality, delicious food and drinks, and attentive service, you ensure every guest feels valued. A vital part of the service team, the Waiter/Waitress is responsible for selling and serving food and beverages while providing leadership on the floor. Depending on restaurant needs, you may work in the lounge or dining room, delivering an outstanding and personalized experience for every guest.
Requirements:
2+ years experience as a Waiter/Waitress role in a full-service restaurant
English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
What You’ll Do:
Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
Demonstrate expertise of all food and beverage menu items with sound knowledge of all ingredients and preparations
Consistently follows steps of service with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service
Anticipates guest needs, ensuring constant communication with colleagues, management, and the kitchen at all times during service
Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service
Demonstrates an eagerness to continue to learn and grow
Perform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success
