This winter, The View will debut as a newly reimagined upscale dining destination within the New York Marriott Marquis. As New York City’s only revolving restaurant, bar, and lounge, The View has been fully renovated by Rockwell Group to channel the dynamic nightlife of historic New York, inspired by the elegance of classic American supper clubs.
Perched on the 47th and 48th floors, The View offers two distinct experiences: an upper-level bar and lounge with a raw bar and a full-service restaurant on the lower level featuring live music nightly. The culinary and bar programs highlight American classics with a theatrical flair, embodying the energy and character of the Times Square area. Designed as an oasis from the bustle of the city, The View is ready to welcome both locals and visitors alike.
Who You Are:
As a Server, you play an essential role in delivering exceptional dining experiences, offering warm hospitality, delectable food and drinks, and top-notch service. The Server is a cornerstone of our service team, responsible for selling and serving food and beverages while leading by example on the floor. Whether in the lounge or dining room, Servers ensure every guest enjoys attentive and memorable hospitality, tailored to their preferences and needs.
Requirements:
2+ years experience as a Server role in a full-service restaurant
English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
What You’ll Do:
Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
Demonstrate expertise of all food and beverage menu items with sound knowledge of all ingredients and preparations
Consistently follows steps of service with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service
Anticipates guest needs, ensuring constant communication with colleagues, management, and the kitchen at all times during service
Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service
Demonstrates an eagerness to continue to learn and grow
Perform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success
