Position: Temporary Outreach & Public Program Coordinator
About: The Avery Research Center, part of the College of Charleston, is seeking a Temporary Outreach & Public Program Coordinator to join their team. This position is responsible for creating and implementing marketing and communications campaigns, developing public programs, and training interns and students. The coordinator plays a vital role in promoting the unique history and culture of the African diaspora.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in arts, communications, project management, or related fields; 2+ years of experience in event planning, marketing, outreach, and/or programming; excellent communication skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; must be self-motivated; working knowledge of WordPress and social media
