About: Kansas Neurological Institute located in Topeka is an intermediate care facility that supports approximately 120 residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The institute practices a person-centered philosophy to enhance residents’ quality of life by respecting their individuality, honoring their choices, maintaining their health, supporting relationships, and ensuring their inclusion in all aspects of life. KNI comprises 19 homes with direct support staff across four buildings on a large campus east of the VA hospital, funded partly by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and governed by state and federal regulations.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years advising and assisting computer users in a distributed computing environment. Knowledge of basic computer operations, hands-on computer equipment support, industry standard software packages, troubleshooting hardware, and software installation on microcomputer systems.
