Position: Technical Events Manager
About: The Los Angeles LGBT Center, a renowned organization dedicated to building a world where LGBT people thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of society, is seeking a Technical Events Manager to join their Special Events Department within the Cultural Arts team. This role will report to the Director of Events and Production and be responsible for overseeing all production elements of events, including staffing, equipment, and production design.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a minimum of eight years of experience in special events, theatre, and event production; experience supervising multiple individuals with varying levels of training; solid background in back and front of house for live special and theatrical events in small to medium-sized venues; comprehensive knowledge of light and sound boards and equipment for theatre; proficiency in power tools and safety protocols; ability to read and implement light and sound plots, set designs, and floor plans; proficiency in word processing and database operations; strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; valid CA driver’s license and vehicle with proof of insurance.
