Position: System Drives Field Service Technician

This position is within the Systems Drives Field Service Technician role reporting to the Systems Drives Operations Manager, based in Skowhegan, ME. The role involves executing service work in the field service model, contributing to the Process Automation Process Industries division in the region.
Requirements: Associates degree in a related field and 2+ years of related work/military experience required; or HS diploma/GED and 4+ years of related work/military experience required. Understanding of AC and DC drive systems. Experience in performing field service engineering for AC and DC coordinated drive systems, using test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Data Loggers, PDMA motor testing, and CMC measurements. Ability to analyze and test system hardware and software performance applicable OEM integrated machines. Availability 24/7 based on business necessity. Up to 80% travel required. Ability to write detailed technical field service reports. Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment. Must comply with ABB and customer safety requirements. Must have work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the US.
