Position: Surgical Physician Assistant – CV Surgery (Woodlands)
About: Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group, a nonprofit corporation certified by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, is seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) to practice medicine under the supervision of licensed physicians. This role involves providing diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and preventative care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working independently or as part of a treatment team. The Surgical PA will be involved in patient surgery, manage patient care in peri-operative settings, and take call as required. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; Graduate from accredited Physician Assistant program by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); One year of surgical experience; PA – Physician Assistant – State Licensure; Health Services PA-C – Physician Assistant (NCCPA); DEA – Narcotics License (DEA); BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA); ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA); Demonstrated skills in patient care, communication, critical thinking, time management, and clinical judgment
