Position: Supervisor – Starbucks
About: This position is responsible for supervising, training, and evaluating assigned personnel. They will determine work priorities, plan schedules, assign and review work. They will serve as an active member of the service team, creating beverages, operating the cash register, and interacting with guests. Duties include preparing food, serving with proper portion control, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Employees on a 5-hour shift receive a free meal. Uniforms are provided at no cost.
Requirements: Required Education: High school diploma or GED, or graduate of culinary school; 36 months experience in food services to include 12 months in a supervisory role. Skills include proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment, handling food safely, basic math skills, effective communication, and understanding nutrition. Department Preferences: ServSafe Certification, more than 36 months of restaurant kitchen supervisor/cooking experience, Hepatitis A vaccine may be required. Advertised Physical Requirements: Must be 18 years or older, pass a background check, physically capable of handling demanding responsibilities, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for long periods, and working in varying temperatures. Supervision: Receives general supervision from Restaurant Manager.
