Position: Steward Full-time (1st Shift/Days)
About: Houston Methodist West Hospital, located in West Houston, Katy, is seeking a reliable and proactive Steward to join their team. The Steward will be responsible for general cleaning and dishwashing tasks in the central kitchen dish room and patient tray line during meal service times. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen environment, adhering to all departmental policies and procedures and local Food Ordinances.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; one year of experience in food service or housekeeping preferred; must have a Food Handlers Permit accredited by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TXDSHS) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI); proficiency in English language for safe job performance; knowledge of Serve Safe guidelines and Health department standards; ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and co-workers with a customer service focus.
