Position: Sterile Processing Technician I
About: The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician to join their team. The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of instruments in compliance with medical center policies and procedures.
Requirements: Graduate of high school or GED equivalency examination; ability to understand and implement detailed instructions; effective communication skills; basic computer skills; certification in sterile processing from CRCST – HSPA or CBSPD; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure healthcare environment; excellent interpersonal skills; detail-oriented; willingness to travel; availability for holiday work and emergency management/disaster team work
