Position: Starbucks Barista
About: The Grand Sierra is seeking energetic and customer service-minded individuals to join their Food and Beverage team as a Barista. The Barista ensures guests are served in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner, promoting coffee consumption through education and sales, while maintaining the coffee bar area. They are expected to provide courteous and efficient service in adherence to Grand Sierra Resort standards.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; previous Barista experience preferred; ability to communicate effectively in English with guests and colleagues; excellent communication skills; strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational abilities; flexible availability for all shifts, including holidays and weekends; minimum age of 16 years; physical ability to perform duties in a fast-paced casino environment, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and interacting with customers and team members; must be able to work in a smoke-filled and loud environment; climate-controlled indoor work setting with occasional exposure to cold temperatures
