About: Compass Group North America, a leader in food service management and support services, is seeking a Senior Sous Chef for Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, IL. This role involves assisting in the successful operation of the Culinary Department, supervising food preparation and cooking, developing menu items, and collaborating with the Executive Chef to create new menus and manage costs.
Requirements: A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate; progressive culinary/kitchen management experience; catering experience a plus; high volume, complex foodservice operations experience; institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful; knowledge of food and catering trends, food cost controls, and presentation; experience with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Outlook, E-mail, and the Internet; willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs; ServSafe certified highly desirable
