Position: SpringHill Suites Newark Liberty International Air – Laundry Attendant
About: The Laundry Attendant position at a hotel entails maintaining a continuous supply of clean linens for the hotel. The duties include all stages of linen processing such as collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers, and chutes), ironing, folding, storing, and delivering. The role also involves cleaning laundry machinery and the laundry area.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred; ability to convey information and ideas clearly; ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations; ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure; ability to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full), with a potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property); ability to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer, with a potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
