Position: Special Events Manager, Community Engagement – Southwest
About: Autism Speaks is seeking a Special Events Manager to join their Community Engagement team in the Southwest region. The ideal candidate will be a passionate fundraiser dedicated to supporting the autism community and driving the organization’s mission forward. Responsibilities include managing fundraising events, engaging volunteers, securing sponsorships, and promoting awareness for Autism Speaks. This position is remote but requires candidates to be based in Dallas or Houston, TX.
Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Experience: 3+ years demonstrated success in non-profit fundraising, with skills in volunteer management, relationship building, and budget management; Specialized Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work independently, excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office 365, willingness to travel and work flexible hours, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; CORE COMPETENCIES: Building Collaborative Relationships, Professional Behavior, Results-Driven, Customer Orientation, Flexibility.
