Position: Special Events Coordinator
About: The YMCA is seeking a diligent and experienced Special Events Coordinator to manage and oversee all details associated with Development Events, including event planning, communication, and execution. This role involves working closely with the development team and various internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality and impactful events that meet desired outcomes within budget constraints.
Requirements: Associate degree with 3 to 5 years full-time experience; previous experience with events serving between 3,000-5,000 participants; experience recruiting and managing event sponsors and volunteers; proficiency in overseeing 5K races and managing large volunteer groups and race components; outstanding marketing and communication skills; experience using social media; ability to multitask, prioritize, make efficient decisions, and delegate in a fast-paced environment; CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Oxygen, and First Aid certified (training available upon hiring)
