Position: Special Events and Emergency Planner
About: The University Police Department at North Carolina State University is responsible for providing the most reasonable level of safety and security for the protection of life and property of students, faculty, staff, and visitors of the campus community. This full-sized police department functions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round with sworn officers, non-sworn full-time employees, and part-time employees.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in communications, emergency management, public or business administration, or directly related field and three years of special event and/or emergency management experience; candidates must have completed at minimum ICS/NIMS courses ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300, ICS 400, IS 700 and IS 800 level training; candidates must have the ability and be certified by FEMA to teach ICS/NIMS courses 300 and 400
