Position: Special Education Teacher Resource
About: Point Quest Education, a special education institution, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the remainder of the 24/25 school year with an opportunity for a $2500 placement bonus. The teacher will be responsible for developing lesson plans, supervising paraprofessionals, implementing the PBIS program, managing classroom behavior, attending IEP meetings, collaborating with staff and agencies, planning instruction, and engaging in ongoing professional development activities at Point Quest Education.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Special Education strongly recommended; Valid CA Special Education Credential (Intern, Preliminary, Clear, Level 1, Level 2 acceptable); Educational Specialist Credential in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe disabilities; 2-5 years working with students with learning and/or social-emotional needs; Experience in running a special day class and implementing curriculum and behavior interventions; Proficient in written and verbal English, including business writing and professional communication; Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills; Computer-literate with knowledge of standard software applications and internet; DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance required; Pro-Act, CPI, and/or CPR certification preferred
