Position: Sous Chef – Ridgewood, New Jersey
About: Tatte, a bakery and cafe known for amazing food made from scratch and genuine hospitality, is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to assist in overseeing all kitchen operations at their cafe and leading a team of up to 25 employees, including Zone Leaders, Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers. The Sous Chef plays a crucial role in maintaining kitchen success and fostering team growth in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Requirements: Minimum of three years of culinary/kitchen management experience in a high-volume foodservice operation; comprehensive knowledge of food and passion for culinary excellence; understanding of quality product, visual presentation, efficient production, safety & sanitation, and food cost controls; knowledge of Tatte’s systems, methods, and processes for great execution; excellent communication and organizational skills; high school education or equivalent
