Position: Sous Chef – Overland Park Convention Center
About: Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, KS is seeking a motivated Sous Chef to join their culinary team. The center, established in 2002, hosts a wide range of events annually, showcasing over 100,000 sq. ft. of versatile meeting and exhibition space.
Requirements: Culinary degree preferred; at least 3 years of related experience in a management role required; Pastry or dessert experience preferred; Previous experience in special events, hospitality, or catering required; Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices required; Excellent communication and organizational skills; Comfortable working in a collaborative team dynamic; Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.; Availability to work event-based hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
