Position: Sous Chef job
About: Regency Culinary, a prestigious culinary department, is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join their team. The Sous Chef will play a vital role in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and providing leadership and training to the kitchen staff. This position involves collaborating with the Executive Chef in menu design and creativity to enhance the food service program and guest experience.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; Minimum 5 years of high volume catering/banquet experience; Minimum 5 years management experience in food and beverage operation; Experience in high volume restaurant sales; Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills; Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations (HACCP); Ability to lead and mentor a team; Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications; Able to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends; Skilled in writing production lists and F&B proposals; Experience with purchasing, receiving, and inventory control; Certification course from culinary school preferred; Financial understanding of food costs and minimizing wastage
