Position: Sommelier job
About: This is a fine dining establishment seeking individuals to work closely with the Wine Director and Head Sommelier to curate wine selections, provide ongoing education, and enhance wine service. The team focuses on genuine hospitality and teamwork with a strong Italian wine influence alongside wines from other classic regions.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; strong fundamental knowledge of wine regions worldwide; experience as a Sommelier, Wine Steward/Stewardess, or similar role; ability to create tasteful food and wine pairings; extensive knowledge of different wines and regions; understanding of local vineyards, winemaking process, and vintages; good communication skills; full availability including weekends and holidays; organizational and time management skills; high attention to detail; excellent written and verbal English communication; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure; clean and professional appearance; ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds; comfortable with repetitive motions; knowledge of industry critics and awards; receptive to constructive criticism and team-oriented
