Position: SOMMELIER job
About: The sommelier position at a fine dining restaurant involves closely working with the management team to develop and maintain a successful wine program. Responsibilities include advising guests on wine choices, managing wine inventory, training staff, and ensuring outstanding customer service. The role requires strong knowledge of wines and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues. The sommelier must also maintain a professional appearance and possess sommelier certification if possible.
Requirements: At least two years of previous experience in a fine dining restaurant; full working knowledge of wines, including taste, varietals, regions, and wine service techniques; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups; advanced knowledge of cuisine and liquor; professional appearance; at least 21 years old; sommelier certification preferred; effective English communication; valid work authorization in the United States; alcohol awareness and food handler health card.
